Liver diseases during pregnancy comprise an important area of common interest for both perinatologists and internists. On the basis of my own practical experiences and from an extensive review of the literature which by necessity includes the presentation of at times contrasting views of unsatisfactorily resolved Problems, I am attempting to give a review of the current knowledge. In liver disease äs in disease of other Organs during pregnancy there are essentially two questions:
